So, tomorrow I am going to be involved in a bit more filming with Gibson Group for another Police doco. This one is going to be about Detectives.
No details about when it will be released yet, but I will keep you posted.

If you are after something strange and pointless to listen to, and dont mind a bit of REALLY foul language, I recommend Smodcast, a podcast by Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier.
Kevin Smith is the writer / producer of such movies as Clerks and Mallrats.
The podcasts have strange titles, and do not really discuss anything of great value. Its just Kevin and Scott, sometimes with other guests, talking every week about whatever comes to mind.
You can get them on itunes, or quickstopentertainment.com

For those of you that have not heard, a portable pump was taken by some “wonderfully” nice person from the beach at Shelly Bay in Porirua during the Titahi Bay fire.
The pump was taken after crews were re-deployed to Gloaming Hill.
The good news is that Police received an anonymous tipoff that the pump had been returned to the toilet block at the beach. It has now been returned to the Fire Service.
Thankyou to those who were involved in the return of the pump.

Thanks to a 14 year old *&&^$##$*&^*&^%^%*)&^%%&%&*, Missy and I spent most of the last 2 nights at a scrub fire in Titahi Bay. At one point on Sunday night there were 4 choppers working. It got pretty close to houses in one part, so most of the effort was concentrated there. 150 poeple had to be evacuated from that area in case we could not contain it. We were back there Monday night making sure it did not flare up.
Thankfully they caught the little ((&*^&*&^&^%(*.
Below is a couple of pics of the fire.

Today is a palindrome. Date is the same written forward as backwards.
It will be the last Feb 1st palindrome for 10,000 years.
useless info, but true.

It’s been a while since I posted anything to the blog, over a month in fact. I have been busy of late as far as the internet goes re doing the PORIRUA FIRE BRIGADE website.
My plan is to “go live” on new years eve, ready for the new decade. You will be able to visit the site at www.poriruafire.org.nz
Anyway – Christmas is finally upon us, and the first decade of the new millenia is coming to an end. I hope that it has been a great 10 years for all , and as the next decade dawns I hope that it finds you well, and in great spirits, looking forward to the challenges and rewards that may come along.
Missy and I will be spending Christmas at home in our new house this year, so if you are in the area, give us a call or txt and say hi.
So Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. (Hopefully in the future we will be posting a bit more).
